Part One was posted 23 August as part of a major relaunch of the classic section. It was heralded by a mock Blue Peter article.

Part Two was posted 23 September. The story is accompanied by a fantastically moody cover from Luke Spilane.

The original premise was a lot more Sapphire & Steel like. Originally it was set in a tower block or a student halls of residence until I realised that no one would be in halls during the New Year holidays.
It quickly became apparent that the story lacked monsters so I introduced the giant worms- larger than life manifestations of the parasite used to control him.
The appearance of the other timezone was to manifest itself physically- through the appearance of a woman from 1879.

There was also a scene where the Doctor looks out of the window and sees the other timezone across the street. This scene was retained in the final version where the Doctor sees London reflected in the clouds.
The Doctor's poem quoted as he wanders in the fog is Morning At The Window by TS Elliot. The rest of it goes like this:

They are rattling breakfast plates in basement kitchens,
And along the trampled edges of the street
I am aware of the damp souls of housemaids
Sprouting despondently at area gates.

The brown waves of fog toss up to me
Twisted faces from the bottom of the street,
And tear from a passer-by with muddy skirts
An aimless smile that hovers in the air
And vanishes along the level of the roofs.
Belinda, originally called Celestia wasn't as mischievous as she became in the last draft. She and the Doctor are definitely destined to meet again and the story drops some (very) subtle clues about their future. The name Belinda was suggested by Aaron of the DWAIP site.

Shooting had to wait until the classic figures were released and this story entered production as soon as the 6th Doctor was delivered.
Some rooftop scenes were dark and shaky and had to be reshot.

11 Aug 08 TARDIS interior, streets outside the TARDIS and office block. Reception, Office, Landing.
12 Aug 08 Stairwell, Rooftops
19 Aug 08 Roof top reshoots and 'real street' scenes. Lost in the fog scenes
19 Sept 08 Spaceship model shots.

For the first time AFT regular AFT stories have Flash opening titles. The original version was done in Flash but was replaced on 4 October with better titles by Aaron from DWAIPS. I had to remove the titles when I streamlined the site in 2015.
Another innovation for this story is the inclusion of era specific music during the page transitions. The music for this story is taken from Mark of the Rani. Unfortunately, due to a PC crash, part 2 is forced to use the same music cues as part 1 albeit in a different order.
Again, these music cues have now been removed.

In terms of the Doctor's timeline, this story is set after his trial in season 23 but obviously before he meets his final assistant Mel.
